Lionsgate In Active Development On Tenth Saw Film

Lionsgate already has plans past the Chris Rock-led Saw revival Spiral, with a tenth entry in the franchise in active development. Production Weekly’s latest issue lists Saw X as being in active development, with Bloody Disgusting confirming that the film is in the works.

Details on plans for the tenth film are not yet known, and it’s important to say that Spiral’s relative success or failure could potentially affect plans. The Rock-led film, which also stars Samuel L. Jackson and is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, is set to release on May 14th. While the Production Weekly entry lists James Wan’s Atomic Monster production company as a producer, BD has confirmed that was an error and that neither Wan nor his production company are actively involved in the new entry.
