Melissa Barrera Has Kidnapped a Vampire In Trailer For Radio Silence’s Abigail
The trailer for Radio Silence’s new vampire film with Melissa Barrera Abigail has arrived. Universal Pictures released the redband trailer on Thursday for the film, which is set to release on April 19th. You can check it out below.
The film is directed by Radio Silence — aka Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream, Ready or Not). The trailer reveals that a group of people have been hired to kidnap the daughter of a mysterious wealthy man and hold her in a house for 24 hours to collect a $50 million ransom. Little do they know that the girl (Alisha Weir) is a vampire (and a ballerina, but they knew that). Carnage and hilarity proceed to fly — as does Abigail, being a vampire and all.
The film stars Barrera, Dan Stevens, Weir, Kathryn Newton, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, the late Angus Cloud, and Giancarlo Esposito. The official synopsis reads:
Children can be such monsters. After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl.
