The Original Roseanne Couch is Not in The Smithsonian

March 31, 2018 | Posted by Larry Csonka

According to TMZ, Roseanne Barr and John Goodman were wrong when they told Jimmy Kimmel the original Roseanne couch was in the Smithsonian, and that’s why they couldn’t get it for the reboot. The couch went to a production warehouse after the show went off the air in 1997, and it remained there for years until a show head bought it. The conch has been at the Museum of TV for the past 10-15 years, and that museum has no affiliation with the Smithsonian.
