In a rare example as of late of a film being bumped sooner, Paramount Pictures is moving A Quiet Place Part II up to Memorial Day weekend. John Krasinski posted to Twitter to confirm that the sequel to the 2018 hit has been moved from its previously-set September 17th release date to May 28th.

The film was originally set to release last April, but like all films from March forward got delayed due to the shutdown of theaters everywhere due to the pandemic. As noted last month, the film will then release 45 days later on Paramount+.

A Quiet Place Part II is directed by Krasinskim who wrote the script. It stars Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds, Krasinski, Cillian Murphy, and Djimon Hounsou. It is described as follows

In A Quiet Place: Part II, following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Blunt, Simmonds, Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
