Ready Or Not 2 Officially Set With Samara Weaving Returning

Ready Or Not is officially getting its sequel, with Samara Weaving set to return. Deadline reports that the film was officially announced on Saturday night and that Weaving will be back in her role from the first film, with the filmmaking collective Radio Silence back to direct.

Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy will also back to write the film, which will follow up on the 2019 horror hit. That film starred Weaving as Grace a woman marrying into the wealthy Le Domas family, owners of a successful game company. On their wedding night, the family insists they play their traditional post-wedding game which turns out to be hide & seek — with lethal consequences on the line for Grace.

The film was released by Searchlight Pictures and grossed $57.6 million worldwide against a $6 million budget, earning high marks from critics and fans. Adam Brody, Henry Czerny and Andie MacDowell also starred in the film.

Plot details for the new film have yet to be revealed, and production/release information will be revealed at a later date. The film was originally reported to be in the works in late March.
