Ryan Reynolds isn’t stressing the fact that Deadpool is now at Disney-owned Marvel, saying that there’s plenty that can be done with the character there. Reynolds appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and was asked about the status of the Marvel character’s franchise under Disney.

Deadpool, yeah, was Fox and now it’s in the hands of Marvel over there at Disney … I see so much — I see infinite possibility in either version. If Deadpool were to be in the Marvel Comic Universe, or the Cinematic Universe rather, I think it would be explosive and amazing, and what a sandbox to play in. If Deadpool continued to get to just do his own thing and be his own thing, also just infinite possibility.”

Asked how soon it will come to pass, Reynolds said, “There’s a lot more story to tell, so I hope we get to do that sooner rather than later.”

Reynolds previously said late last year that the next chapter was in development at Disney, saying, “Yeah we’re working on it right now with the whole team. We’re over at Marvel [Studios] now, which is like the big leagues all of a sudden. It’s kinda crazy. So yeah, we’re working on it.”
