Stargirl is arriving soon, and we now have specific dates for her DC Universe and The CW premieres. Variety reports that the new live-action series based on the DC superheroine will hit DC Universe on May 11th, with its premiere episode hitting The CW on May 12th.

Both services will release the episodes weekly, with DC Universe getting the show a day before it hits the broadcast network. The series – which is not set on the same Earth as the CW’s Arrowverse shows, nor the various shows (Titans, Doom Patrol) of the streaming service – stars Brec Bassinger, Luke Wilson, Amy Smart, Trae Romano, Cameron Gellman, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Meg DeLacy, Neil Jackson, Jake Austin Walker, Christopher James Baker and Hunter Sansone. The synopsis reads:

Courtney Whitmore (aka Stargirl) is smart, athletic and above all else kind. This high school teenager’s seemingly perfect life hits a major speed bump when her mother gets married and her new family moves from Los Angeles, California to Blue Valley, Nebraska. Struggling to adapt to a new school, make new friends and deal with a new step-family, Courtney discovers her step-father has a secret; he used to be the sidekick to a superhero. “Borrowing” the long-lost hero’s cosmic staff, Courtney becomes the unlikely inspiration for an entirely new generation of superheroes.
