TMZ reports that TJ Miller has been arrested after calling in a false report about a possible bomb. He was arrested at LaGuardia Airport in New York City last night around 10 PM by Port Authority officers and FBI agents. He was booked for providing false information or pulling a hoax with federal authorities. He was in Canada this past weekend for stand-up comedy shows. He was released this morning after posting a $100,000 bond.

Miller called in the report back on March 18, claiming there was a bomb at an Amtrak station. He was on a train from Washington DC to New york City, and claimed that a woman with brown hair and a scarf had a “bomb in her bag.” An Amtrak police officer returned his call and Miller told him that the woman kept checking the bag and appeared to want to leave the train and leave it behind. Miller was asked if he was mentally ill and he said no.

He added: “This is the first time I’ve ever made a call like this before. I am worried for everyone on that train. Someone has to check that lady out.

Miller gave police the wrong train number, which resulted in another train getting stopped, evacuated and searched in Connecticut. This resulted in several delays for Amtrak as Miller traveled safely into New York. He was eventually removed from the train because he was drunk after two glasses of wine and two double Scotch and sodas. A train attendant claimed that Miller “exchanged profanity” with a woman in the First Class car, but didn’t agree with Miller’s claims that she was acting suspicious. The woman later told police that Miller was loud and aggressive. She said that he made a comment about her hair and they had an argument. Police eventually ruled that Miller had an issue with the woman and called in the fake bomb threat because of it.

Police claim that as a result of Miller’s action, 926 hours of delays were caused. He also pulled the attention of several law enforcement groups and bomb squads in Connecticut and New York away from their jobs. The FBI got an arrest warrant and grabbed Miller when he arrived at LaGuardia.
