In an interview with both CNN and The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Arnold gave his thoughts on the actions of his ex-wife Roseanne Barr and the cancellation of her show Roseanne due to a racist tweet she sent out. He suggested that Barr wanted the show to get cancelled. Here are highlights:

On the end of the series: “It had to happen. And I am going to tell you the truth, she wanted it to happen.”

On feeling it wouldn’t last long: “I was not surprised that what went down and that the show was canceled. I had a feeling this was going to happen when I first heard it was coming back ― that there was a reboot.”

On ABC being partially to blame: “ABC lost maybe $1 billion from this; this show was grinding out money hand over fist and they lost it all because somebody didn’t say, ‘Get that phone out of her hand.’ She’s not going to go on TV and say these things. But you put that phone in her hand and she is a loose cannon.”

On Barr having a history of this kind of attitude: “This monkey thing is something she’s tweeted before about black people.”
