V/H/S/Beyond Announced, Will Release On Shudder In October
The next V/H/S film will venture into sci-fi horror, with V/H/S/Beyond set for an October bow on Shudder. The horror streaming service announced on Wednesday (per Variety that the next entry in the found footage anthology franchise is set for an October 4th premiere.
The film is the seventh in the franchise and follows on last year’s V/H/S/85, which was Shudder’s most-watched film premiere of the year. The new film “will feature six new bloodcurdling tapes, placing horror at the forefront of a sci-fi-inspired hellscape.”
The list of directors and writers are below for the individual segments and notably includes actress Kate Siegel (The Fall of The House Of Usher) making her directorial debut from a script by husband Mike Flanagan. The list is:
* “Stork”: Directed by Jordan Downey, screenplay by Downey and Kevin Stewart
* “Fur Babies”: Written and directed by Christian Long and Justin Long
* “Live and Let Dive”: Directed by Justin Martinez, story by Martinez and Ben Turner, screenplay by Turner
* “Dream Girl”: Directed by Virat Pal, written by Pal and Evan Dickson
* “Stowaway”: Directed by Kate Siegel, written by Mike Flanagan
* And a special presentation by Jay Cheel
