Vice TV Releases Trailer For Dark Side of the 90s
Vice TV’s Dark Side docuseries is getting its latest spin-off with Dark Side of the 90s, and the first trailer is online. The network released the trailer for the new series, which is (like Dark Side of Football) patterned off their hit wrestling docuseries Dark Side of the Ring. You can see the preview below.
The series is hosted by Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath and will premiere later this week on July 15th. The first episode is titled “Trash TV: Dirty and Deadly Talk” and is described as follows:
“The evolution of Daytime talk television from smart talk to trash TV.”
The series will cover topics over its ten-episode first season such as Beanie Baby craze and Johnny Depp’s Viper Room club, which is where actor River Phoenix died.
“The meteoric success of VICE TV’s Dark Side of the Ring opened up an opportunity for us to expand the franchise to explore other cultural touchstones.” said Morgan Hertzan, Executive Vice President & General Manager, VICE TV. “Our Dark Side spin-offs continue to explore the underbellies of worlds many prefer left in the shadows. Dark Side of the 90’s is a show made out of love of pop culture by a network known for its ‘no strings attached’ approach to storytelling.”
