Rock Legend Little Richard Passes Away At Age 87
Rolling Stone reports that rock legend Little Richard has passed away at the age of 87 after a battle with cancer. Richard had been ill for two months and passed at his home in Tennessee, surrounded by his brother, sister, and son.
Richard was best known for his hits “Tutti-Frutti,” “Good Golly Miss Molly,” “Send Me Some Lovin'” and “Long Tall Sally.” His musical style was heavily influenced by church gospel and he was one of the original inductees into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
Richard was also known for his flamboyant fashion which led to many questions about his sexuality, and many different answers from him. At times throughout his life, he denounced homosexuality, but at other times, claimed he was gay or that he was an “omnisexual,” attracted to men and women.
