Match #1 Matt Bentley w/Traci defeated Shark Boy

Shane Douglas is with Shocker backstage. Shocker says he underestimated Shelley. Shocker then says all-important matches go 2 of 3 falls, so he wants one more match with Shelley to settle things at Sacrifice.

Christopher Daniels joins the commentary team. Daniels breaks down the strengths of both competitors.

Match #2 Super X Cup Match: AJ Styles defeated Petey Williams

Shane Douglas is with Lance Hoyt. Hoyt says this Sunday is an opportunity. He didn’t have to look for it because it came looking for him. He is looking for vengeance and destruction. ABYSS ATTACKS! He lays out Hoyt and Mitchell says it is NOW personal. Not only has Hoyt made the huge mistake, Mitchell says this Sunday Abyss will crush him like a bug.

Shane Douglas is with Kip and Monty. Monty says it will be fitting as the 2LK is sacrificed. Kip says it is what he wants. BG is his brother. Monty says he hopes so. Monty says BG better call the hospital and talk to Elix, because he will know what it is like to feel…the…POOOOOOOOOUUUUNCE…PERIOD!

Match #3 Monty Brown killed Elix Skipper

Match #4 Simon Diamond and David Young defeated AMW

Match #5 Konnan and Killings defeated Batts and Clark

Shane Douglas is with AMW and the Naturals and Jimmy Hart. They say it isn’t supposed to happen because those titles belong to AMW. They have a common problem in TC. They stand side by side to take out TC. The Naturals say they see eye to eye. The first time ever they will fight together to battle TC.

Match #6 Rhino defeated Chris Sabin

After the match Raven is out and he and Rhino go at it. Clothesline to Rhino. Knee sends Rhino to the floor. JJ is out and Raven beats him down. GORE, GORE, GORE to Raven! JJ sets up the table now. LIGHTS OUT! SABU!!!!! CHAIR SHOT to Rhino! Springboard elbow to JJ! Rhino set on top…Sabu up…Raven gets knocked on the table and Rhino with a SUPER BOMB to Sabu onto Raven! The table no sold! Rhino picks up Sabu and power bombs him through the table as he and JJ stand tall.

TNA Impact Starts…NOW!

Tenay and West welcome us to IMPACT! We are of course live, via tape delay from Universal Studios in Orlando Florida! They hype Sacrifice from this past weekend, and it was a kick ass show.

Match #1 Samoa Joe vs. Jerrelle Clark

Oh my…this little man is so gonna die.

Take down by Joe and Clark slides to the ropes. Snap mare, chops and kicks by Joe. Irish whip and KNEE OF DEATH by Joe. Face wipe…OLAY! Chops to Clark, Irish whip again and Joe misses and Clark with chops. Dropkick and off the ropes…reversal and Clark runs up top and misses a moonsault as Joe steps aside and probably called him a dip shit as well. Standing senton by Joe gets 2. Off the ropes and a dropkick by Clark. Springboard by Clark, well that didn’t work as Joe caught him in the ST JOE! Clark set up top…MUSCLE BUSTA! Joe locks in the “you’re my bitch” and that’s all baby,.

Winner: Samoa Joe @ 2:40 via TAP OUT

That sneaky bastard Christopher Daniels is out! He nails Joe with the belt and then again. He beats down Joe and tries the wings…AJ ISOUT! He beats down Daniels. Joe charges and AJ moves and Daniels is leveled! AJ dropkicks both and they fall to the floor and AJ stands tall.

Joe continues to kill bitches, and we get some angle development.

Shane Douglas is backstage as Larry Z and JJ argue about Rhino’s title shot. JJ says he is tired of being nice and he demands his shot. Larry says if Rhino steps aside, he can have the shot. Rhino is there now and he says Larry Z is a conman. JJ says he needs to be champ and asks Rhino to step aside and he promises him a title shot when he wins. Rhino says he can have a shot…when HE beats Raven!

Tenay breaks down the concept of the Candido Memorial Tourney, and as soon as I can get a bracket I’ll have one on here.

Match #2 Candido Memorial Tournament Match: Chris Sabin & Shocker vs. Simon Diamond & Mikey Batts

Batts and Sabin to start. Lock up and a wristlock by Sabin. Reversals and Sabin escapes and gets an arm drag to Batts. Batts escapes with a rake of the eyes and off the ropes and after some reversals Sabin with a basement dropkick for 2. Tag to Shocker now and double team to Batts and they go Hardy Boys on Batts with the poetry in motion and then a double dropkick to Simon. Sabin tries a springboard, but Simon pulls him down as Batts nails Shocker with rights. Batts tries a plancha but Sabin moves and he nails Simon as we take a break.

We are back as Shocker is working over Batts. Suplex to Batts and then a spinning elbow drop to Batts. Slam by Shocker, and a slingshot elbow gets 2. Tag to Sabin and rights to Batts. Off the ropes and Simon trips him up and Batts with a spinning head scissors takes Sabin to the floor. Simon works him over and tosses him back in. Tag to Simon and boots to Sabin. Jabs by Simon and a cover for 2. Tag to Batts and a snap mare and rear choke to Sabin. Sabin escapes and hits the ropes, but eats a knee by Batts. Tag to Simon and jabs again to Sabin. Simon series now and the 3rd is a bridging northern lights that gets 2. Chops by Simon. Corner whip and again. Sabin with an elbow and a back elbow to Simon. Both men are down and a tag to Batts and Shocker! Yakuza to Batts! Clothesline now. Powerbomb to Batts gets 2 as Simon breaks it up. Shocker takes Simon down and Batts rolls him up for 2. Off the ropes and a blind tag by Sabin, Shocker doesn’t appear to be too happy about that and he gets a kick to Batts. Sabin catches Batts off the ropes…CRADLE SHOCK ands that’s it.

Winner: Sabin and Shocker @ 7:07 via pin

This was a pleasant surprise. This tourney doesn’t have the guaranteed matches that the X Cup had quality wise, but this was a really good and fun match.

Shane Douglas with Monty Brown now. Monty says he told Kip that BG wasn’t to be trusted. He mocks Kip now and says Kip is stupid. They will do things HIS way from now on, kill or be killed, hunt or be hunted. Survival of the fittest. BG is weak and he will weed out the weak now. Monty doesn’t care who he has to face, not even Raven…the title is coming to the Alpha Male…the title will come home to him.

Match #3 Sonny Siaki w/Apollo vs. Rhino

Rhino attacks at the bell, but Siaki sidesteps him and delivers some rights. Off the ropes and an arm drag to Rhino. Leg drop gets 1 on Rhino. Chops by Siaki, elbow by Rhino and then the reverse powerbomb into the corner by Rhino gets 2. Rhino chokes out Siaki now and finally breaks. Tenay announces that after the attack by Waltman at the PPV, Lynn has re-injured himself and will be out of action for a while, at least a month. Damn that Sean Waltman! Boot by Rhino gets 2. Snap mare by Rhino into a rear choke to Siaki. Siaki tries to escape and gets to his feet, elbows out and gets the leg lariat to Rhino! Diamond Cutter to Rhino! Off the ropes…reversal…Siaki floats over and back rolls to his feat and GORE GORE GORE by Rhino and that’s all!

Winner: Rhino @ 2:42 via pin

Basically a squash and this is the kind of match that Abyss should have had against Siaki when he was #1 contender, not that 6-7 minute crap.

Rhino has the mic. “GORE GORE GORE! Raven…I am gonna gore you…Raven I will make you bleed. I came here for the NWA title, and NOBODY will stop me. At Unbreakable…why wait…Raven…get out here!”

Raven, back in jean shorts: “Rhino, gore me once, shame on you…gore me twice, shame on me…quote the Raven…NEVERMORE!”

He hits the ring as security fills the ring, but Rhino gets away from them…GORE GORE GORE to Raven!

Match #4 Candido Memorial Tournament Match: B.G. James & Cassidy Riley vs. Ron Killings & Sonjay Dutt

OH NO! THE 3LK COLLIDE! They just made up, what is the world coming to?

CR and Killings to start. Lock up and an arm bar by CR. Reversals and Killings with a wristlock. Killings off the ropes and gets a shoulder block. CR tags BG and he is reluctant. They hug and here we go. They dance now CR and Dutt are mad! Killings nails CR and BG nails Dutt and Killings and CR are in the ring now. Wristlock to CR and he nails Killings with rights. Spinning forearm smash by Killings…AMEN! Tag to Dutt and he works on the arm of CR. Muta like elbow by Dutt for 2. Dropkick to the knee by Dutt and rights to CR now. Irish whip to CR, reversal and corner clothesline/bulldog combo by CR. Shades of Raven! Tag to BG and he works over Dutt with rights. Dutt whipped to the corner, leaps to the 2nd rope and back off only to eat the boot of BG. Killings takes out CR, but CR is able to get a fisherman’s buster to Killings! He goes to cover, but he and BG argue. BG checks on Killings, then gives CR the pump handle slam! 3LK don’t hate on each other foo! Dutt up top and gets the 450 to CR and that’s all.

BG raises Killings’ hand and leaves the ring.

Winner: Killings and Dutt@ 4:20 via pin

Well that as damn interesting. I also think this is too good to be true and that BG James will turn still, it just has to be. Match was ok, nothing “bad” in it and the comedy was a good change of pace. Plus, Dutt and Killings have the chance for better matches as we move on.

Father Jim Mitchell says that the TNA Championship committee is deaf, because they didn’t hear that Abyss would not wait for his title shot. Imagine his dismay that Raven will face Bobby Roode next week. But Roode is NOT Abyss, and if he is smart he will walk away. Next week, Abyss gets his shot or he cripples everyone in his path. Larry Z needs to drop his golf clubs, because if he doesn’t…the blood of Abyss’ victims will be on his hands…Abyss is a weapon of mass destruction…and doomsday is upon TNA.

Match #5 The Naturals (Douglas and Stevens) © w/Jimmy Hart vs. Team Canada (Eric Young & A-1)

The Naturals attack as the bell rings and it’s on! Young fires back on Stevens as A1 is getting beat down. Young Flair flips over the corner and then gets nailed to the floor. Double clothesline to A1 gets 2. Stevens with a wristlock, but A1 scoops him up, runs for a slam but Stevens slides out and rolls him up for 2. Dropkick by Stevens and A1 tags to Young. Tag to Douglas and he works the arm of Young. Arm bar by Douglas now…up and drops down on the arm and into another arm bar variation. Move #765, seated inverted arm bar. Young to his feet and he takes Douglas off the ropes and Douglas with a nice dropkick for 2. Rear choke by Douglas now. Young to his feet, and a tag to Stevens. Wristlock by Stevens and he takes Young down and gets an inverted arm bar. Wristlock by Stevens and Young begs off. Rights by Stevens and then elbows to the arm. Tag to Douglas and off the rope and he elbows the arm of Young. Arm bar again and off the ropes…A1 nails Douglas and Young levels Douglas and covers for 1. Young chokes out Douglas now and then A1 follows suit and pulls Douglas to the floor as we take a break.

We are back as A1 levels Douglas with a back elbow. He then chokes him out again and gets a neck breaker to Douglas for 2 as Stevens makes the save. Snap mare to Douglas and a tag to Young. Knee drop by Young and a cover for 2. Young works over Douglas with rights and off the ropes, reversals and some odd ass roll up deal and Young gets 2 I think. Slam by Young and he drops the elbow. Tag to A1 who gets a leg drop and covers for 2. Neck vice by A1 as Douglas tries to fight to his feet. He does and battles out and off the ropes and a boot toA1. Douglas charges and A1 with a powerslam for 2 as Stevens makes the save. Young tagged in and A1 with a slam and Young with a 2nd rope leg drop MISSES! Douglas crawls…tags Stevens! Rights to all by Stevens. Flying forearm to A1, kip up and a leg lariat and A1 is down! Alabama slam to Young! Cover gets 2 as A1 saves Young. Douglas backing and they dump A1. They grab Young…off the ropes and NATURAL DISASTER! 1…2..Roode is out and pulls the ref out!

Winner: The Naturals @ 9:40 via DQ!

Williams is out and Team Canada proceeds to beat the hell out of the Tag champs! It’s a mugging! Stevens tries to fight back but all for not. They chase the ref away and the Naturals continue to be abused. Jimmy Hart yells at the ref and AMW IS OUT! They clear out the Canadians and Hart checks on the Naturals. AMW and the Naturals stare down…and the Naturals say they don’t need them! They shove Hart and BRAWL TIME! Team Canada loves it as we fade…

Really good match there, and I loved how they are playing off of the tag match from the PPV.

Final Impact Thoughts: Not a blow away episode this week, but there was solid matches and a lot of early build for the Tournament, tag titles as well as the X and NWA Title matches. An overall fun show, and worth the time to watch.
