411’s WWE Smackdown Report 12.21.07

We kick the show off with Teddy Long wheeling Vicky Guerrero out to the ring and we get a recap of Edge winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship thanks to his duo of fake Edges. Vicky Guerrero then introduces the New WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Edge! He is officially presented the World Heavyweight Championship by Teddy Long. Edge gets on the mic and he thanks Teddy for no longer being GM and the fans for being Edgeheads. Two Edgeheads in particular, the Major Brothers. He introduces them as the Major Brothers, and Edge tells them to reveal themselves as Kurt Hopkins and Zack Rider and they tell some things about themselves. Edge then thanks Vicky Guerrero. He then shows a video montage on him and Vicky Guerrero while he was in rehab and how they got together. He also wants to thank the man he is facing tonight, Batista. He thanks him for doing a good job as champion when he was injured. He promises that tonight he is walking out tonight as Champion.

Match #1: Great Khali and Ranjin Singh vs. Hornswoggle and Finlay

Finlay and Khali start it off and Khali shoves him in the corner and starts kicking. Elbow to the face and then a chop. Big boot by Khali and then a scoop slam. Tag to Singh even though it was supposed to be a high five and Hornswoggle depants him. Khali grabs Hornswoggle but Finlay dumps Khali over the ropes. Finlay chases Singh until Hornswoggle dumps feathers on him. Hornswoggle grabs an umbrella and Finlay dumps a bucket of water on Singh. He throws him back in the ring, tags in Hornswoggle, and he nails the Tadpole Splash for the win!

Winners: Hornswoggle and Finlay via pin fall on Ranjin Singh by Hornswoggle

We’re back and Ric Flair comes on out. Flair wishes everyone a Merry Christmas. He says that because this may be the last time he says it in the ring. Flair thanks everyone on the Smackdown locker room for respecting him. He talks about wanting to be the best and talks about the next time he loses a match, his career is over. In ten days, he has to wrestle the greatest wrestler alive today, Triple H. He says that he wanted to wrestle Triple H in his final match. When he came back five years ago, Triple H is the man who made him realize who he was and motivated him. Flair wants everything Triple H has.

Match #2: Big Daddy V w/Matt Striker, Mark Henry, and WWE United States Champion MVP vs. ECW Champion CM Punk, Kane, and Rey Mysterio

Kane and Henry start it off. They lock up and Henry gets him in the corner and pounds away but Kane come firing back. Tag to Punk and he gets some right hands and kicks but Henry shoves him in the corner and tags MVP. He starts pounding away and locks in a headlock. Punk gets him off but gets nailed with some shoulder blocks until Punk nails a spinning heel kick. Running high need in the corner and a roll up for two. All six men run in the ring as we go to commercial.

We’re back and MVP and Punk exchange kicks. Punk tags in Rey and he nails the seated senton off of Punk to MVP. Rey nails a hurricanrana and tag to Punk and he nails a kick. MVP nails a right hand and tags in Big Daddy V. Punk runs around nailing jumping knees but Daddy catches him and slams him down. Daddy steps on him and then gets him in the corner. Tag to Henry and he pounds away on Punk. Tag to MVP and he goes to town on Punk with rights and kicks. Tag to Daddy and he pounds away. He goes for the press slam and nails it. Tag to MVP and he works on the shoulder of Punk. Tag to Henry and he nails a headbut. Tag to MVP and he nails a snapmare and locks in a headlock. Punk gets out and nails an enzaguri. Tag to Kane and he nails away on MVP. Running splashes in the corner and then a side slam. He gets up and nails both Henry and Daddy. Flying clothesline to MVP! Big Daddy V runs in the ring. Kane tags Mysterio and takes out Daddy. Rey nails a moonsault on MVP. Drop toe hold to MVP but tags in Henry before the 619 and he takes out Rey. Punk takes out Henry with a knee and then flies out of the ring and nails MVP. 619 to Henry, then a chokeslam to Kane, followed by a Drop of the Dime by Mysterio for the win!

Winners: CM Punk, Kane, and Rey Mysterio via pin fall on Mark Henry by Rey Mysterio

We come back and gets highlights of the date between Jamie Noble and Michelle McCool. Michelle orders wine and it’s ten bucks and he begins to panic. He calms down though. He starts hitting on her and he admits his granny helped him dress for the date. He tells her he wants her to meet granny for Christmas. The waiter comes back and Noble asks for French Fries and anything else with the word French in it. He then gives us a history lesson on the French which is pretty funny. It turns out its an Italian restaurant, not French, haha! He got Michelle a Christmas gift and it’s a bottle of Old Spice. He tells her all his favorite things, including magic. He tries the whole “pull the table cloth trick” and it doesn’t work as well as he thought.

Match #3: Santa Deuce w/Cherry & Domino vs. Santa Festus w/Jesse in a Santa Match

Yes, they are both dressed like Santa. Festus goes wild as soon as the bell goes off. He misses the splash in the corner but shoves Deuce out of the way. Domino distracts Festus while Deuce jumps him from behind. Festus nails a chop block and works on the leg. Deuce pounds away on Festus and throws him out of the ring. Festus gets back in the ring and Deuce still controls. Festus starts fighting back and nails a huge uppercut. Splash in the corner by Festus and a vertical splash. Domino gets on the turnbuckle and Jesse pushes him off. Festus nails the Flapjack Slam for the win!

Winner: Santa Festus via pin fall

We’re back with JBL’s farewell address. JBL says today is a day that the fans will talk about for generations as he comes out of retirement and he will have the biggest comeback in the history of sports….for RAW. He is coming back for one main reason…Chris Jericho. He says Jericho should of apologized instead of telling JBL that he is an afterthought. JBL isn’t coming to RAW for being a RAW member, he is coming to headline pay-per-views and win Championships. He is the only and will be the only wrestling God!

Match #4: Batista vs. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge w/Kurt Hopkins, Zack Rider, Vicky Guerrero, and Teddy Long for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Before the match starts, Vicky announces that this as a Championship 3 on 1 Handicap Match! So…

Match #4: WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge, Kurt Hopkins, and Zack Rider vs. Batista in a Handicap Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Batista and Hopkins start it off. Batista fires away and nails a running splash. Shoulder thrusts now and pounds away on Hopkins in the corner. Rider distracts the ref and Edge nails Batista. Tag to Rider and he chokes away on Batista. Batista fires back and takes out all three guys. He goes for the Batista Bomb but Edge and Hopkins jump him.

-Commercial-

We’re back and Edge is kicking away on Batista. They exchange shots now until Edge nails a drop toe hold on Batista. Elbow drop by Edge for a two count. Bearhug by Edge but Batista gets out. He misses a Spear though and his shoulder goes into the turnbuckle. Edge goes for a clothesline but get hit with a spinning side slam. Tag to Rider but Batista takes him out. Splash in the corner and a powerslam. He takes out Hopkins and spears Edge. Spinebuster to Rider for the win!
Wait! Vicky sais he won the match, but he did not pin Edge. The match must continue so she restarts it. Batista nails Edge with a flying shoulder block and takes out the Edge Heads. Spinebuster to Edge and then he goes for the Batista Bomb until the Edge Heads come in with a chair and take out Batista.

Winner: Batista via disqualification

After the match, a double DDT to Batista on the chair and then a Con-Chair-To by Edge.
