Kofi and Austin Creed, i.e., The New Level, reportedly went out of their way to build camaraderie with the locker room following their AEW debut at All In: London.
As noted, the former New Day duo made their All Elite Wrestling debut as “The New Level” at Wembley Stadium yesterday, opening the show alongside Swerve Strickland and ultimately capturing the AEW World Trios Championship.
Earlier today, PWInsider Elite [accessed by WrestlePurists on X] reported that Kofi and Austin went out of their way to introduce themselves and meet almost everyone they could backstage. The report added that a “ton of people” backstage were impressed with the legendary duo.
It was also said that there was no such feeling that Kofi and Creed believed they were above everyone because of their distinguished WWE tenures, and the duo was extremely open and approachable in terms of creative discussions and interactions with fellow talent.
One source told PWInsider that “they were everything you always heard about.” Another source noted that WWE’s loss was AEW’s gain.
At the Media Scrum, Kofi and Austin opened up about entering a “completely different universe” and being received wholeheartedly by the AEW locker room. You can read their comments HERE.
