AJ Lee Says She’d Pick Paige and Kaitlyn for WWE Comebacks

AJ Lee has named Paige and Kaitlyn as the top names she would like to see return to WWE. The comments came ahead of her scheduled Women’s Intercontinental Championship match against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 42 Night 1.

Speaking in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Lee referenced her past history with both women. Between 2012 and 2014, she competed in multiple singles matches against Paige and Kaitlyn during her original WWE run.

“I love Paige… if I could bring somebody back, her and Kaitlyn. Let’s get them back.”

When discussing Paige, AJ Lee further described her as a talented performer from the beginning of her career. She added that a return for Paige could provide an opportunity to experience the current women’s locker room environment.

“It would be great. She’s so talented and I knew it from day one. We’d always joke that I was her fairy godmother and I just took her under my wing and tried to protect her. And just to see her now, it would be kind of heartwarming and healing, and she would be a great addition to this locker room. I think this place has really come a long way and the women work together so beautifully, and they’re so supportive. I would love for her to experience just how fun it is now.”

At this time, there has been no confirmation regarding any return plans for Paige or Kaitlyn.
