There have been many questions as of late surrounding former WWE Superstar Andrade El Idolo. The wrestler finally took to social media, answering a question regarding his current situation in a new Instagram Story.
In a Q&A, he wrote, “How do you feel in your current situation?” Answering the question, the former WWE United States Champion answered, “I have health! And that’s the most important thing.”
His Instagram Stories post also featured a clip of him working out with some weights in the gym.
Andrade El Idolo Reportedly Facing One-Year Suspension From Appearing Onscreen
Andrade was reportedly fired from WWE after what was said to be multiple wellness policy violations. He then quickly signed with AEW, making his TV return on the Dynamite six-year anniversary show on October 1, attacking Kenny Omega and joining The Don Callis Family.
After his Dynamite appearance, Andrade soon disappeared from TV. It was later reported that WWE issued a cease-and-desist order to AEW, noting that Anrade was subject to a one-year non-compete clause for being fired with cause from the promotion.
As a result of his non-compete clause, Andrade can’t work in pro wrestling, sports entertainment, or MMA groups not owned or affiliated with TKO in the US for one year after his termination date. That means he will likely still be allowed to work dates outside of the US.
When asked about the Andrade situation ahead of AEW WrestleDream, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan commented, “I would just echo the sentiments again when Andre had initially left in 2023.” He continued, “I have a ton of respect for him, and I’m saying as much as I can say about it, but I appreciate you asking. And I am excited to see what’s next for Andre.”
It remains to be seen what’s next for Andrade El Idolo in wrestling. As previously noted, Big Time Wrestling is advertising the wrestler for an event in Augusta, Maine on November 1.
