Andrew Yang is not happy with TKO, with the former presidential candidate taking the company to task for their handling of WrestleMania. Yang, who has long been a wrestling fan, posted to Twitter to give voice to complaints many fans had about the number of ads that WrestleMania 42 had, along with the amount of celebrity involvement.

Yang wrote

“It seems that TKO has really screwed up WWE/Wrestlemania with ads and celebs and getting away from the heart of pro wrestling – and talented performers are paying the price.”

While WrestleMania has always been a celebrity-heavy affair, there was heavy criticism around some of the involvement this year. The most notable issues were with Pat McAfee’s involvement in the feud between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton leading up to the PPV. Jelly Roll also got involved in the storyline.

McAfee was ultimately taken out early in the match between Orton and Rhodes at night one of WrestleMania 42, then came back and tried to help Orton only to fail to deliver. That led to him getting RKO’d, but Orton’s distraction allowed Rhodes to get the win.

Yang ran for US President in 2020. He has since set up a new political party, the Forward Party.
