During a recent interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, ROH Women’s World Champion Athena spoke about the strongest wrestler she ever got in the ring with. Athena credited WWE Superstar Bianca Belair and former WWE Superstar Alicia Fox for their strength. Below are some highlights from Fightful:

“Other than me, ‘cause I feel like a lot of people say that about me because, like I said, I’m 5’1. Like I can lift a lot. There’s kind of two in my head and I feel like the first one isn’t going to shock anyone, Bianca Belair. Like we were both at the PC. We were just like competing, competing, competing and she beat me at like almost everything. Like I got her on like two events at the combine. Me and Bianca were so close. I think I ended up beating her in like one or two out of the 12. But it was Bianca, Bianca, Bianca, Bianca. I’m like, ‘No, Bianca, I’m going to get you in something.’”

“But she’s a phenomenal athlete, just phenomenal human being too. But I don’t think a lot of people know this about this woman, and it’s going to shock a lot of people, pound for pound, I think the strongest person—Alicia Fox. I don’t think people realize. She’s very petite, she’s very lean, but she’s so strong. Like pound for pound, I don’t think people would think that she could lift anything. I feel like I’ve seen her lift a truck before and I’m like, ‘How, Fox? How’”

Athena recently defended her title Survival Of The Fittest 2026 Final Six Way Elimination Match at ROH Supercard of Honor 2026 earlier this month. The match also featured Billie Starkz, Maya World, Trish Adora, Yuka Sakazaki, and Zayda Steel.

Meanwhile, Bianca Belair made an appearance at WrestleMania 42 last month, announcing her pregnancy.
