Backstage Note on Potential Date for Mask vs. Mask Match between El Grande Americano I & II

Tonight’s episode of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide saw a wild brawl between the OG El Grande Amerciano and El Grande Americano II.

The masked wrestlers brawled all over the Gimnasio Olimpico, refusing to stay apart despite security officials trying their best to separate them. Americano II then challenged the OG Americano to a Mask vs. Mask Match. However, no date was announced for this showdown.

According to Bodyslam+, WWE and AAA sources indicate that the Mask vs. Mask match between the Americanos is currently planned for AAA’s upcoming premium live event, i.e., Noche de Los Grandes, in Monterrey on May 30.

The OG Americano and the imposter have been at each other’s throats since the return of the former at the Royal Rumble PLE earlier this year. They battled in a one-on-one contest last month on WWE RAW, where El Grande Americano II emerged victorious.
