As previously reported, former TNA World Champion Joe Hendry has signed with WWE. The latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A has more details on Hendry’s new contract.
According to Sean Ross Sapp on the Fightful Weekly Q&A Podcast, Joe Hendry is said to be on a “main roster level deal” in WWE. Hendry is reportedly being paid above the minimum pay rate for a main roster-level Superstar.
Sapp also speculated that with Hendry’s signing, a wrestler like the current reigning NXT Champion, Ricky Saints, or the reigning NXT North American Champion, Ethan Page, will likely move up. Sapp also speculated that Hendry could be used like Mr. Iguana, where he still pops up on the main brand shows now and again.
The newly signed WWE Superstar is set to compete at WWE NXT Gold Rush: Night 1 later tonight. Hendry and Thea Hail will compete against Ethan Page and Chelsea Green for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Titles.
Tonight’s NXT Gold Rush 2025 is being held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show will air live on The CW starting at 8:00 pm EST. It will air on Netflix internationally.
Hendry also competed at the Royal Rumble earlier this year in the men’s Rumble match. Additionally, he wrestled Randy Orton in a losing effort at WrestleMania 41: Night 2.
