If anyone is wondering if former WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon has been around WWE since he resigned from his post at TKO, that does not appear to be the case, per a new update from Fightful Select Answers Q&A. According to the update, McMahon hasn’t been backstage or attempting to secretly run WWE creative behind the scenes since the lawsuit was filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, alleging sexual misconduct.
Additionally, Fightful notes that McMahon wasn’t discussed about appearing for John Cena’s final match, which occurred in December at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Also, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp states that he’s not heard anything about anyone consulting McMahon for creative ideas or anything in that area.
Recently, on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast, when hip-hop artist Lil Yachty asked if McMahon would receive a WWE Hall of Fame induction, Paul responded, “Yeah, he’ll definitely get inducted. I also have a weird feeling he’ll come back.”
After Janel Grant filed her lawsuit against McMahon and WWE, Vince McMahon resigned from his post as Executive Chairman of the Board of WWE’s parent company, TKO. Also, during the post-show for last night’s WWE Royal Rumble 2026, WWE Chief Creative Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque was greeted with “We Want Vince” chants.
