Bandido’s Entertainment Announces That Hechicero Is Injured, Replaced by Beast Mortos for Upcoming Event

As previously reported, it was rumored that Hechicero was injured after withdrawing from a CMLL event in Monterrey. Now that looks to be the case, per an announcement from Bandido’s Entertainment, which is Bandido’s promotion.

Bandido’s Entertainment announced on Instagram that Hechicero will not be making it to this week’s scheduled Batalla del Desierto event scheduled for January 30 due to an injury. Hechicero will be replaced by AEW wrestler, The Beast Mortos, at the upcoming event (h/t Fightful).

The wrestling veteran last competed on AEW Dynamite one week ago, teaming with Don Callis Family stablemates Lance Archer and Rocky Romero in a losing effort against The Death Riders’ Daniel Garcia, Jon Moxley, and Wheeler Yuta.

There are no other details yet on the nature or severity of Hechicero’s stated injury.
