Billy Gunn Says Colten Has Been Cleared For AEW Return

Colten Gunn is cleared to make his return to the ring after several months out due to injury, according to Billy Gunn. The Gunns member has been on the shelf since suffering a knee injury on the July 19th episode of AEW Collision. Billy revealed that his son is medically cleared during a Saved By Superstars virtual signing on Thursday.

Billy was asked for an update on Colten’s status and answered (per F4W Online), “He just got cleared yesterday, so he’s good.”

Colten suffered the injury during a four-way match on Collision. The Gunns were competing against Gates of Agony, Big Bill & Bryan Keith, and Lio Rush & Action Andretti when Colten landed on his feet badly after a move and his knee gave out. The Gunns had to be removed from the AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament leading into AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door as a result.

There’s no word as of yet when Colten may return to AEW TV. The team is part of the Bang Bang Gang, which has been diminished not only by Colten’s injury but that of Jay White as well.
