Bishop Dyer was humiliated by the McMahon family and Triple H before being “fired” as the GM of WWE Raw back in 2018, a “surreal” segment he looked back on in a recent interview. As Baron Corbin, Dyer was the “constable” of Raw for the latter half of 2018. This lasted until the December 17th episode of Raw when the McMahon family vowed to change up Raw. Corbin ended up in the ring and was blamed for all the problems. This led to his competing in a 4-on-1 handicap match that he lost to be “fired.”

Dyer looked back at that moment in an interview with The Sportster. He also talked about hitting Becky Lynch with the End of Days during his feud with Seth Rollins. You can see highlights below:

On If the End of Days to Lynch Was His Idea:

“It was not. And as soon as it was told to me I was so excited, smiling ear to ear. I was like — because we never do it. And it was Vince’s idea. I think a lot of things in wrestling are overdone so much. And that was something [that] at the time hadn’t been done in years, And in Philly of all places. So it was pretty awesome.”

On the Segment With the McMahons & Triple H:

“I mean yeah, I took some blames that I had nothing to do with there. I was on TV a lot and they’re just — you know, they’re attributing, I was a main event guy at the time with all of that… But it was a really cool moment in my career to literally be standing in the ring opposite of Stephanie, Hunter, Shane, and Vince.

“At at a point we went to commercial during the promo and we — I didn’t know when we came back because it was so loud. The crowd was singing, ‘Nah nah nah, hey hey goodbye.’ They were chanting ‘You’re fired’ and all that. And Hunter walked over and he just whispered to me and he was like, ‘You can’t pay for this kind of heat.’ And it was a very surreal moment. It was cool, and — whatever. They blame me for whatever. It’s character and television, whatever it is. But I love that picture of me standing across from them all, that was a great great thing.”
