Blake Monroe Says She Would Swap Out Any Title She Wins for the Divas Championship

During a recent interview with The Sportster’s Adam Barnard during WWE SummerSlam Weekend, Blake Monroe spoke about her strongest opponent, her love for the old WWE Divas Title, and more. Monroe also expressed that the moment she wins a championship in WWE, she’d swap out the belt for the now-defunct WWE Divas Title. Below are some highlights:

Blake Monroe on Her Strongest Opponents in WWE

“Either Jordynne Grace because she’d be throwing me around. Like, that was my first PLE, and what was that? She was assaulting me. She’s vicious. Yeah, but who won? Me. And honestly, Tatum Paxley, because I could never really beat her. The only time I beat her was when a boy helped me. I’d rather not see Tatum again. She put me in a casket. She’s not well. And then the next day, next week, she did a funeral for me. That’s not normal behavior. So she can stay firmly away.”

Her Favorite WWE Champions From Any Era

“Ooh, I mean, I have to say Trish [Stratus], just because I feel like she’s just the GOAT. Like, she’s the ultimate Diva. And I say that with respect cuz I know people down talk Diva. To me, it’s not a negative term. It’s like it’s just the female version of a Superstar. She exuded that energy of, like, being a Diva, and like she had so much charisma and her promos and her gear, and she was just so many women are inspired by her or Nikki Bella for her Divas Championship because, low-key, I love the Divas Championship, the butterfly belt, like, it was cute. It would match my outfit. Don’t let me get my hands on a title cuz I’ll swap them out.”

On How She Feels Being at SummerSlam

“It’s a mixed feeling for me. I’m really excited because, you know, I only joined WWE what, a year ago? So, to be a part of all of this is great, but I would love to be on the card. So, for me, it’s like a good opportunity to watch, to learn, but know that next year I will be on the card and I will be defending my Women’s World Championship.”

Lyra Valkyria previously defeated Bayley via submission at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. She last wrestled on the July 30 edition of WWE Main Event, where she defeated Wren Sinclair.

Blake Monroe recently made her WWE SmackDown debut, attacking Giulia. She’s not yet made her main roster in-ring debut.
