Hi, hello & welcome to the column that nobody in the world of professional wrestling wants to be in: Botched! It was an interesting week in the world of wrestling.

1. Miz needs Xavier to translate.: The Miz & the New Day are gifted at the art of speaking on a microphone. When one of them slips up, you know the others will pick up on it. Especially if it’s Miz trying to talk about video games…

Fortnite is quite the gaming craze. To be honest though, I’m not much of a gamer, so I thought Miz was talking about something happening in a fortnight, and was impressed that somebody actually used the term.

2. Lana’s X-Factor: Lana is vying for the Money in the Bank briefcase so she & Rusev can be Mr. & Mrs. Money in the Bank. That would be pretty cool. The good news for Lana is that she doesn’t have to win the Money in the Bank ladder match by pinfall. So she doesn’t have to try & finish somebody off with an X-Factor.

How do we feel about Billie Kay’s sell of the kick? I like it, but I approve of comedic selling in most instances.

3. Bobby Lashley thrown by his sisters: Most of us weren’t quite sure what to say about Bobby Lashley’s sisters. Bobby wasn’t either.

You can notice a pause at the 2:30 mark while Lashley tries to remember what he was supposed to say. Hey, I don’t blame him. This whole segment can be listed as a botch in my book.

4. German tables don’t sell: Remember the Shamwow guy talking about how you knew things made in Germany were superior to the rest? It certainly applies to tables, as Marius Al-Ani found out at WXW’s event in Hamburg.

Absolute Andy’s attempt to drive Al-Ani through the table was foiled by a wall-like table. Is it too soon to make Berlin Wall jokes?

5. A tough fall: This one’s pretty rough to watch. Chucho el Roto went up to the top of the steel cage to do a dive. He did a dive, just not in the direction he was hoping.

I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often. If I tried to climb to the top of a steel cage I’m 100% sure this is what would happen. You gotta have great balance to do this stuff for a living.
