Bret Hart Says He Isn’t a Fan of Sheamus’ Punches

Bret Hart says Sheamus could use some work on his punches, presenting a critique of the WWE star’s punching style in a new Q&A. Hart has long been someone who doesn’t mind criticizing what he considers subpar work. The turned that gaze onto Sheamus — or more specifically, a punching style he sees Sheamus do all the time — during a Q&A for the Johnny I Pro Show.
Hart was speaking about a method of punching in which talent will turn the punch into an open hand at the last second. He specifically called out the Celtic Warrior as an example of someone who does it. You can see the highlights below:
On His Issue With the Punch Style:
“I mean, I see guys throwing punches. And they open their hand at the last second and then slap the guy, and then close it by the time they pull back.”
On Sheamus’ Punches:
“Who’s that Irish guy? Sheamus does those all the time. Whenever I see them I’m like, ‘Why don’t you take 10 minutes and have someone teach you how to throw a punch instead of throwing that embarrassment of a punch.’”
Sheamus is currently out of action with a shoulder injury. He had to be pulled from the Last Time Is Now Tournament due to the injury.
