Bron Breakker Defeats Sami Zayn, Wins Intercontinental Title at WWE Summerslam

We have a new WWE Intercontinental Champion, as Bron Breakker finally defeated Sami Zayn at Summerslam tonight. Zayn had Breakker’s number last month at Money in the Bank, but that was not the case tonight. Breakker avoided the Helluva Kick with a spear, then built up momentum to hit another running spear for the pin.
This is Breakker’s first title on the main roster, after he previously held the NXT title twice and NXT tag titles once. It ends Zayn’s fourth reign at 119 days. He previously won the title at Wrestlemania 40 on April 6.
