Bullet Club II Sweet - Cody Rhodes The Young Bucks

IGN recently interviewed Bullet Club members Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, and Hangman Page, who discussed their stable ahead of today’s ROH Supercard of Honor XII event. Below are some highlights.

Nick Jackson on what the Bullet Club is: “It’s a group of friends that happen to be wrestlers who all have the same goals. To be the best and to make wrestling better than what it currently is. It’s always been about that with the Bullet Club.”

Matt Jackson’s answer: “A group of passionate, entrepreneur friends who march to the beat of their own drum. Bullet Club is a gang of outside-the-box-thinking, non-traditional, storytelling entertainers, who managed to capture lighting in a bottle. Most importantly, Bullet Club is fun.”

Cody Rhodes on what it takes to be in the Bullet Club: “It doesn’t take one specific trait. There’s a lot of masters of various disciplines in the group. Example: The Young Bucks are the greatest tag team since the Rock N’ Roll express…Yujiro is a Tokyo pimp…and I’m just the best thing in the entire industry right now.”

Cody Rhodes on how his career has changed since joining the group: “My career has changed a great deal since joining BC. I’ve made genuine friends and I’ve made money. I was fortunate to be selected. On the other hand, since I’ve become leader of the group…I’ve lost a few of those friends.”

Adam Page on how his stock has skyrocketed: “My stock has skyrocketed since joining Bullet Club. I’m now constantly touring the planet, facing against the best competition and creating the most popular content in wrestling with Being the Elite.”

Matt Jackson on what makes the Bullet Club so successful: “It’s ability to reinvent itself when members leave. It’s like Bullet Club has become three or four different versions of the group. People love friendship and bonds. Bullet Club represents that. It represents brotherhood. The reason the group always looks like it’s having a good time, is because we are. We do everything together, so it’s real chemistry the people see on display. It’s not pretend or rehearsed. It’s real. If you’re laughing, and having a good time, trying to entertain your friends on live television or pay per view, there’s a good chance you’re entertaining all of the people watching as well.”

Cody Rhodes on what makes their stable different: “I think the beauty of Bullet Club is that it’s weathered the storm. There was a time when folks looked at it as a parody of DX/nwo…but just from a dollars and cents standpoint, it’s longevity in a time where there is no Monday night cable war and the current absurd cash flow it creates for NJPW has put us into a special place of prominence.”
