Cincinnati Bengals Contacted WWE About Hosting Summerslam At Paycor Stadium
ESPN Sports reporter Ben Baby notes that Hamilton County Administrator Jeff Alutto said that there was an attempt to bring WWE Summerslam to Cincinnati. The event would have been held at Paycor Stadium if plans were made.
According to Alutto, the Cincinnati Bengals reached out to WWE but never heard back. He said: “They did reach out several times. They said they didn’t call back.”
Instead, a different Ohio city will host Summerslam. The event takes place in Cleveland on August 3.
At a Hamilton County Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, president Alicia Reece made it clear that she wants the NFL to make a significant investment into the next version of the Bengals' stadium. The current lease is set to expire in 2026. pic.twitter.com/Fs7Iyogvm3
