During a recent edition of What Do You Wanna Talk About? (via F4WOnline.com), former WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes credited The Bloodline storyline as a “massive” part of WWE’s recent boom in business, putting it on par with some of the biggest storylines in wrestling. Rhodes explained how The Bloodline’s success made it difficult to get the fans’ attention for anything else.

Rhodes explained, “I was away trying to turn heads with what I was doing, and it’s very hard to do that when the Tribal Chief is becoming a thing, when the Ula Fala is becoming a thing, all of that.”

Meanwhile, this week’s guest, Jey Uso, explained how Roman Reigns’ trash-talking during his matches helped elevate The Tribal Chief Character, and it’s something Reigns continued to do after audiences returned after the COVID lockdown was lifted. Jey Uso stated, “Him talking, like, just elevated the product more, I think, and when the people got back, I felt like we have to keep some of that style. And also for the live people, we gotta go too.”

Jey Uso continued, “I think that’s what made the WWE style today — and you know what they say today? It was like cinema, right? That’s all they kept calling us: ‘cinema, cinema, cinema, cinema.’ And I didn’t even know, we were just cooking every week.”

Uso also added that he believes that there’s still more that can come from The Bloodline in the future, stating, “It’s still alive. I don’t think it’s dead.”

Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes both competed at the WWE Royal Rumble over the weekend, with both men entering the men’s Rumble match. However, it was none other than The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, who walked away the victor, last eliminating Gunther. Reigns will now go on to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 42.
