Cody Rhodes Reflects On Having Brandi As Part of WrestleMania 40 Entrance
Cody Rhodes was accompanied by his wife Brandi to the ring for his match at WrestleMania 40 night two, and he recently looked back on the moment. Brandi walked to the ring with Rhodes for his match against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, and Rhodes told Chris Van Vliet on Insight that he credits Triple H, Nick Khan and Bruce Prichard for that.
“You got to kind of relate back to or credit back to Triple H and Nick Khan and Bruce Prichard,” Rhodes said (h/t to per Wrestling Inc). “They understood there’s a difference between, ‘Hey, I want to get my buddy on the show’ or ‘Hey, this is a friend but it’s really a niche market that might understand it.’ They understood what I was just telling you earlier that this has been lived out loud in front of them, she’s a huge part of that, massive part of that.”
He continued, “She’s not a ‘stand behind you’ type, she’s a ‘stand next to you’ type so it was very nice that they wanted that to happen. Yeah, it’s my favorite entrance ever and it’s very simple, minus the pyro it’s relatively cost effective.”
Rhodes of course defeated Roman Reigns for the title at the show, and Brandi and other members of the Rhodes family were among those who joined him in the ring to celebrate after the bout.
