Cody Rhodes Cuts Promo As Guile During CinemaCon Street Fighter Presentation

Cody Rhodes attended Paramount Pictures’ presentation for Street Fighter at CinemaCon on Wednesday night and cut a little promo in character as Guile. As noted, the trailer for the film was revealed at last night’s presentation during the annual theatrical convention.

As you can see from the below video, Rhodes appeared at the presentation in costume as his character in the film alongside the likes of 50 Cent, who plays Balrog, and David Dastmalchian who is playing M. Bison. He got the mic and cut a promo during the event that was captured by a fan.

“Lot of tough guys out there, huh?,” he said (per Fightful). “What about you, pretty boy? [kissing noises] You guys want to be in this tournament. Well, if you believe in yourself and if you believe in freedom, drinking milk, you can all be in this tournament.”

He continued, “Military budget is down. I’m thankful for the gig. That’s M. Bison right there, you see the hats he’s worn in this movie? Top notch. First class. Beaver skin, baby. Y’all ready for this trailer? No, I need to hear it, y’all ready to see this trailer?”

Street Fighter is directed by Kitao Sakurai and is set for release on October 16th. The film stars Noah Centineo as Ken, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Eric André as Don Sauvage, 50 Cent as Balrog, and Jason Momoa as Blanka. Also starring are Rhodes as Guile, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Orville Peck as Vega, Olivier Richters as Zangief, NJPW star Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli, Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, Kyle Mooney as Marvin, and Mel Jarnson as Cammy.

The synopsis for the film reads:

Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!
