Cody Rhodes Sends Message to Ricky Saints Ahead of WWE SmackDown Debut, Saints Responds

Cody Rhodes is “pumped” for Ricky Saints’ upcoming main roster debut as a full-time talent. Saints wrapped up his NXT stint this past Tuesday, losing to Shiloh Hill in his final match.

The former NXT Champion cut a promo addressing his time on the developmental brand. Ricky is set to make his SmackDown debut this coming Friday. He shared the same on social media, promoting a response from his longtime friend and mentor, Cody.

The American Nightmare shared a Nicholas Cage-themed meme and wrote that he is “pumped” for Ricky’s main roster arrival. “Crybaby Ricky gonna’ do something or what? (Pumped for you)!”

Ricky Saints and Cody Rhodes share a long history. Saints famously made his AEW debut by answering Rhodes’ open challenge for the TNT Championship during the summer of 2020. He also attended the 2023 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event while still being under contract with All Elite Wrestling. He arrived in NXT in early 2025 and went on to capture both the North American and the NXT Championships.
