Complete Ken Kennedy on Tom Green Recap

Tom Green introduces Mr. Kennedy and asks him how the intro was, Kennedy questions that being all he gets? Tom tries to introduce him again and Kennedy tells him to shut the hole between his nose. Kennedy grabs a Mic and says he is going to show Tom Green how it’s done. He introduces himself from Green Bay Wisconsin Mr. Kennedy .. Wait for it .. Wait for it .. KENNEDY! Tom alerts his staff to clap. Tom tries to imitate Ken but Kennedy stops him. He says he is excited to have Ken and the internet is buzzing to have Ken.

They talk about Ken Anderson, Ken wonders who Ken Anderson is and then says Ken Anderson was a QB for the Cincinnati Bangles, a great quarterback. Tom asks if Ken has ever said Mr. Anderson. Ken says a couple of times. Ken says he was born Ken Anderson and when he was sent to OVW he said the Mr. Anderson thing started from The Matrix. He says he had people call him Mr. Ken says Paul Heyman told him to have a battle with the announcer. They go to a clip of Ken introducing himself. Which gets cut off before the 2nd Kennedy.

Ken talks about 10,000 to 12,000 people in the arena and says it’s a rush. He then says he will whoop the camera guy for cutting the clip off. Tom says he would like to do that as well but he knows the staff would beat him up. They talk about people calling in on Skype and on the phone. Tom talks about Stone Cold, and they take a few calls. The first caller says Ken is the man and Ken says he knows. The caller asks if Ken has ever gotten in a fight backstage. Ken says for the most part they get along, he says there is a couple guys he would like to of gotten to get into it with. He says he doesn’t want to lose his job. Tom mentions things crossing over from the ring. Ken says sometimes people take liberties and the way to get back is to give them a receipt.

They talk about Kens match with Jeff Hardy last night on Raw. Ken puts Hardy over. The caller says it was a good match, Ken says it wasn’t just a good match. The caller says Ken lost by count out and that sucked. Ken says he sucks and they hang up on him. They take another call and its from someone named Tony. Tom says lets be more sensible then these pricks on the phone. Tom says they are trying to drive him crazy, and he’s happy they are. Ken says it would he his fault for snapping, and it wouldn’t be their fault for causing him to snap, which Tom agrees it would be his own fault.

The next person asks Ken if he could teach Tom a wrestling Move. Ken says he could show Tom a chop. Tom is confused about a chop, he asks Ken if it will hurt. Ken says it will and Tom says can they do it later? Ken says he doesn’t want to hurt Tom. They go to the next Skype caller and it’s someone wearing a Kennedy shirt. Ken says he has a nice shirt. The kid holds up a photo of himself and Mr. Kennedy. The kid talks about Kennedy telling him to shut up at the autograph signing and Kennedy recalls doing it. The kid goes on about Ken, and says he is the man and Ken says he agrees whole heartedly. He asks why he lost the Money In The Bank. Ken has to calm the caller down. Tom asks what Money in the Bank is.

Ken explains the match, and then talks about losing it to Edge. Tom tells the Skype caller to calm down. The Caller goes on again, talking about John Cena. Tom Green hangs up on the caller, who he says is driving him crazy. Ken says he has a nice head, a very nice head [If anyone has seen Kens appearance on Byte This, he said this same thing to the lady @ Titan Towers] Ken continues with the Money in the Bank story, and how he lost it to Edge and being injured sitting home for 2 months.

Tom mentions Kens triceps injury and how it wasn’t torn off the bone like they first thought. Ken says his arm was twice the size it is and it turned the color of his shirt [Black] and he couldn’t move it. Tom asks if it is the worst wrestling injury he’s ever had. Ken says he tore his lat last year and had surgery. He says he went home the same day, after 5 days he took the bandages off and got something similar to staph infection and he lost 35lbs in 2 days. He says that was the worst. He tells the story of how it happened in Italy. He was on the ring apron and got dropkicked off the apron and he says it was like in slow motion even though it only took about a second actually and he knew he would of hit his head on the guard rail so he moves and landed on his arm. He talks about wrestling school and how you learn to fall sort of.

They talk about Hardy’s bump from Raw where he almost broke his neck, Ken says it was the first time he ever had the ref stop him to check on the other guy. They go to the phones and the caller asks about Money in the Bank again and what it was like winning it. Ken says it was an amazing feeling and it should be everyone’s dream in the business to wrestle at Wrestlemania. Ken says when he walked bout it didn’t seem like that many people but after the match he went to the skybox and looked out and it was just a sea of people and a tiny ring.

They go to a clip of Ken from OVW. Ken says it’s the WWE Farm Club. Tom asks about scripted stuff, Ken says most of it isn’t and at the level he is they expect you to just go out and do it. They talk about bud being a sponsor for the show. Ken says you don’t have to drink to have a good time, but it does make everything better. They take another Skype Call. The caller says the ending last night sucked. They talk about Ken being counted out and Ken has to explain to tom what a count out is about. Tom asks Ken why he was out of the ring, Ken says he needed to take a little break and tells the end of the match. They talk about the callers. They go to another caller but Tom hangs up on him for not answering. Tom says you never know what you are going to get.

They go to a Phone call and say it’s the last chance for the phone. Tom hangs up on several callers finally getting to someone who says Ken is a faggot. Ken and Tom laugh as Tom his the hang up button. They get to another caller who tries to say something but Tom drops the call. They decide to ignore the phone for now. Tom asks about upcoming shows, ken says right now he is going home to see his girlfriend, play with his dog. Tom asks Ken where home is and he says Green Bay. Tom asks if Ken gets to go home a lot. Ken says in the older days of wrestling guys would be on the road for 30 40 days and go home for 3 days and then hit the road for another 30 – 40 days. Ken says now they get a few days off during the week.

Tom asks what Vince McMahon is like, Ken says it’s a good question. Ken says everyone wants to know that. Ken says Vince is not too much different then his on screen character at time. Ken says Vince always has a lot going on and it can be stressful and you either get a very happy guy or a guy who will chew your head off if you mess something up. Ken says he’s gotten yelled at for things he has said on the Mic. Ken says you have to be tough in this business. Tom says you could be reduced to tears like he is on a nightly basis in his own living room. Tom says people have been bragging about having sensible questions and yet they’ve been getting a bunch of yahoos.

They go to another caller on Skype from England, He asks Ken about the injury and says he read Ken is going back to Smackdown. Ken says he isn’t going back to Smackdown and isn’t planning on going back to Smackdown anytime soon. Tom asks what that means. Ken explains how WWE has different brands and talks about how this was created to have some competition all under the same umbrella. Tom says he didn’t realize that. Ken says if you are on Raw you are on Raw. Tom asks Ken about Stone Cold and how he influenced him. Ken tells the story of his friend making him watch Raw. He says he thought Wrestling wasn’t cool and you were considered a nerd if you watched wrestling. He says he saw Stone Cold driving a pick up truck, with the attitude flipping people off and drinking beer. Ken says he came from a small town where everyone drove pick up trucks and drunk beer and he could relate to him. He talks about Austin Vs. McMahon a little and about people wanting to beat up their boss on occasion. He says that’s what hooked him and before too long he said he could go in there and do that.

He talks about finding wrestling schools and finding one in Green Bay and being the first student of the school. He talks about the success rate in wrestling being low and WWE only signing a certain number of people. Ken talks about connecting with the Audience. Ken says he is a Heel. Tom says he is confused how Undertaker is a good guy, and talks about Ken saying it was a surreal moment for him. Ken says Undertaker is a legend in the business and how he is a fan of the business and when Taker came out he said it was overwhelming. Ken says Undertaker is one of the Best of the Best. Tom asks how that match went. Ken says up until that point he never did Cardio. Ken says Undertaker is a big guy and you would think he wouldn’t move very fast but he is just so athletic and quick. Ken says half way through the match he thought he was going to throw up. Ken says the next day he started doing Cardio.

Ken talks about his Workout and how its hard to get to a gym because of their schedule. Ken says he does 300-500 squats when he gets to the Arena, Tom is shocked by that. Tom says he has to do some of that. They take a call from a girl named Kelly. She says she read that Ken served in the Army before his career and how that changed him. Ken says before he did he was very rebellious and it taught him respect and how when he used to have a job he wouldn’t do what his employers told him and afterwards he learned to do what they asked first and then talk about it later.They talk about Boot Camp and how people will hate you if you go against the instructors. They take another call, and Ken says another nice shirt comment. Tom asks if it is one of Kens shirts. Ken says it is. They talk about going to smackdown taping and Ken losing the Money in the bank the day before and him not being at the smackdown taping, they ask how far in advance does Ken learn about his storylines?

Ken says Storylines? What’s storylines? He talks about only learning he was wrestling Jeff Hardy a few hours before he wrestled him. He says they don’t get much advanced notice. Tom says people think it’s more scripted then it actually is. Tom says he wants to talk about John Cena. Ken says do we have to? Tom cuts to a clip of Ken and Cena from Raw 2 weeks ago and Cena mocking Ken. Tom says that looks like some fighting words. Ken says he was about to lose it. Tom wants to know why the camera keeps cutting out. Ken asks Tom if he wants him to take care of the camera guy, Ken says he will gladly go over there and whoop him. Tom asks if it possible Ken could teach him a move. Ken says he could chop him but Tom would get hurt and bleed through his shirt. Ken talks about Bob Holly chopping him and making him bleed. Ken says he does not want to make tom bleed through his white shirt.

Tom says they have 15 minutes left, he says he is going to go to the fridge and get a few more beers. He pulls up another caller. Tom waits to see how this caller is before he goes to get some beer. The caller asks about how Ken got started in the WWE. Ken says for a few years he would send tapes to WWE and continue to call the office and anytime WWE would be in his area he would come and do a tryout for about 5 years. Most of the time they would come through the curtain and the wrestlers would say it was a great match but the people in charge of hiring would say they didn’t see his match. Ken talks about Diavari being hired before him and telling one of the agents aside and telling them to watch the match. Ken says the next day he was there for a taping the agent came up and told him he was trying to get him a job.

Ken says in the wrestling business believe half of what you hear. Ken says for almost 6 months he had his phone in his pocket and would always answer the phone. Then one day 6 months later he got a call from Divari and he told him they brought in 7 or 8 people. Ken thought he missed his chance. He says he waited and didn’t get a call and he decided to call Tommy Dreamer. He said this is Ken Anderson from Green Bay, and Tommy put him on hold. He says Tommy never would put him on hold, so Tommy gets back on and said he was trying to get a hold of him for a few days, and his phone isn’t working. Ken said his phone was and Tommy ran the number by him but it was the wrong number. Ken says Tommy got him the Job. He says he was at the break room at his Job at the time and he wanted to jump for joy and Tommy went through all the basics with him where he was going to go, and asked him if he had anything to say.

Ken says He would work his ass off and do everything, make you proud and Dreamer said Okay, you don’t have to get all Gay on me. Tom says its an exciting feeling that first break and talks about going from Canadian TV to MTV. They tap their beer bottles Tom talks about Bud Light and thanks them. He shows off the Bud light website. They talk about SummerSlam and Ken says it’s the 2nd biggest pay per view of the year and mentions the big match Randy Orton Vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship and says more matches will be announced over the next few weeks. They talk about Ken-Kennedy.com the official website of Ken Kennedy, Ken says its run by a girl from Australia who contacted him and said she was a big fan and would like to do a website. Tom mentions the site has videos and says everyone go check out www.Ken-Kennedy.com. Tom asks Ken if he answers questions on the site and Ken says not really, he says most of the time if he has something to say he just emails it into the girl.

They move on to Ken being Anti-Myspace and the video of Ken being anti – myspace. Ken says he isn’t a big fan of Myspace, he says Dane Cook does a great job using it to further his career, tom says it’s a promotional tool. Ken says a lot of times people go on there and show all the stuff they do and people brag about themselves. Ken says there is like 17 Ken Kennedy Myspace accounts and none of them are his. Ken says he does not and he never has and he probably never will. Tom asks if he is leaving the window open to having one? Ken says he may snap tomorrow, the callers may make him snap like the guy wearing sunglasses in a dark room. Ken says there are only two kinds of people who wear sunglasses, Blind people and Assholes. Tom wanted to drop him but Ken said lets talk to him, Tom goes okay lets talk to this Asshole. Tom says thanks to the audience. Ken says he is a big fan of Tom. Tom brings up a story Ken told him and asks Ken to tell it. Ken says when Tom was on MTV he did this bit in Japan and in Japan if you bow to someone they have to bow back and Tom walked up to the guy and kept bowing and saying domo arigato Mr. Roboto he says Tom did it like 50 times and the guy just kept bowing to him. Ken says they have a Japanese Wrestler in the WWE, Funaki and he says he does that to Funaki. Tom mentions Kens first match being with Funaki. Ken talks about wrestling Funaki and how it wasn’t originally supposed to be on TV. They show the clip of Ken doing the Green Bay plunge on Funaki, Ken says maybe he could do that to Tom off the desk. Tom says maybe next time he will get a mat or something.

They joke about the Mr. Roboto thing and Tom says it’s his favorite song by Styx ever. They go to the Asshole in Sunglasses and he explains its because of the lights. Ken says he has a good excuse but he is also under lights too. The Caller asks about Ken having his last match with Eddie Guerrero. Ken says it was an honor to ever wrestle Eddie Guerrero. Ken says he was an influence not only in wrestling but backstage and says Eddie was a great person. Ken says he considers it an unfortunate honor. Ken says he pulled up to the Arena and his girlfriend had dropped him off at the arena and one of the guys came up and asked him if he heard about Eddie. Ken says he was floored and it was one of the worst days of his career ever. Tom talks about the Chair shot ghost ending, the classic Eddie Guerrero chair shot ending. Ken talks about it and says after the match he actually did hit him with the chair shot and he hit him pretty hard and he remembered going backstage and thinking he gave him a concussion. The caller asks if Ken regrets giving him the chair shot, Ken says no. It’s Wrestling. Tom thanks Ken for coming he asks Ken if he can call him Ken, Ken says no call him Mr. Kennedy, Ken says he doesn’t even allow his mother to call him Ken. Tom says Norm Macdonald will be on the show tomorrow. Ken says he wont be as good a guest as he is. Ken ends by saying Tom has a nice head.
