Davey Boy Smith Jr. Wishes He And Tyson Kidd Could Have Fought FTR
In a recent appearance with the Total BeezSheez Show, Davey Boy Smith Jr. discussed his former in-ring partner Tyson Kidd and which matches he would have liked to see realized (per Wrestling Inc). Kidd’s career came to a premature conclusion from an injury while going up against Samoa Joe, but Smith Jr. feels the pair would have been able to put on some great shows in the current era had things transpired differently. You can read a few highlights from Smith Jr. and listen to the full episode below.
On the effective partnership he shared with Kidd: “Tyson Kidd was my favorite tag partner. Just the natural chemistry with us growing up together in a family, the timing was always there. We could do our sequences and tag moves with our eyes closed pretty much.”
On what he would want to see if Kidd were still wrestling: “There could be a great tag team like FTR for instance. If back in the day, Tyson and I teamed up and wrestled them in a tag, the match probably would’ve been great. They’re tag team specialists, right? And the Hart Dynasty were also.”
On what options he would be excited to see happen as a solo: “If you gave me the option of having a singles match with Minoru Suzuki or Bryan Danielson I would definitely be chomping at the bit for something like that too.”
