David Ortiz, Rob Gronkowski Lead Star-Studded WWE Entrance Recreation
David Ortiz and Rob Gronkowski were among the biggest names to channel their inner WWE Superstars at Fanatics Fest in New York, making entrances to some of wrestling’s most iconic theme songs.
The annual event once again blurred the lines between sports and sports entertainment, with several star athletes recreating famous WWE entrances in front of the New York crowd. Baseball Hall of Famer David Ortiz received a Stone Cold Steve Austin-inspired entrance, while former NFL star and WWE 24/7 Champion Rob Gronkowski walked out to Jey Uso’s entrance theme.
Several other athletes joined the fun. Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown made his entrance to Batista’s theme, while teammate Jahmyr Gibbs chose Roman Reigns’ music. Baseball Hall of Famer CC Sabathia also took part, entering to The Undertaker’s iconic theme.
Each entrance paid tribute to a different WWE legend or current Superstar, giving fans a unique crossover between two worlds.
Fanatics Fest has become a regular destination for these kinds of moments, bringing together athletes, celebrities, and WWE personalities under one roof. WWE has embraced the event in recent years by featuring Superstar appearances, fan experiences, and interactive attractions.
