Deonna Purrazzo was a big part of the TNA roster for several years, and she’s very excited to see the company get its new media rights deal with AMC. TNA announced a new multi-year deal with the cable network that will see Impact air on AMC and AMC+. The show premieres on January 15th with a World Championship match and more.

Purrazzo was part of TNA sporadically from 2014 to 2017 and again on a regular basis from 2020 through 2023. She had three runs as TNA Knockouts World Champion and the third-longest total days as champion at 531. Purrazzo is now with AEW and spoke with Gabby AF and was asked about the company’s new deal. You can see highlights below:

On Being Excited For TNA:

“Oh my gosh, yeah. And it’s a long time coming. I won my first Knockouts World Championship in front of zero people. And so now I was at Slammiversary in New York City, 8,000 people. I was at Bound for Glory — Lowell, Massachusetts, 8,000 people. Five years ago, we were happy to get like a hundred people in the Skyway Studios to make a little bit of a noise for us.

“To see where the how they’ve grown, to see where they’re going, to see the future? I mean, just from like that standpoint is incredible. Because I think — you know, everyone says TNA is like the land of misfit toys. And it’s kind of like, ‘We all have a chip on our shoulder, and we’re grinding but nothing feels like it’s ever changing.’ And this is like seismic change, right? So, I’m so proud of the team that they have and and what they’ve put together. And that locker room is just the women’s locker room is so talented.”

On Dani Luna:

“Someone like Dani Luna, who’s getting the opportunity she just main evented last week in the dog collar match. She’s been my one of mine and Steve’s favorites for, I guess, three years. How long that she’s been there. And he always says Dani reminds him of me, in terms of how intense she is and how real she seems to be wrestling. I got to wrestle her very briefly in like a quick five minute match once, and I would love to have done it multiple times. So I’m excited to see where she goes after this.”

On TNA’s Potential On AMC:

“I’m excited to see how AMC kind of like pairs the two universes together. Because wrestling is such characters, and then AMC is known for such dynamic characters. And so I just think there’s going to be a lot of storytelling for a lot of people, and I’m really excited to see it.”
