Details On Xavier Woods’ Re-Signing With WWE

Xavier Woods re-upped with WWE recently, a new report provides a bit of insight into the matter. As reported earlier this month, Woods signed a new deal with the company, which he confirmed soon after. The report at the time said that talks came down to the wire, and Wednesday’s Fightful Select Answers Q&A goes into a bit more detail about it.
Woods’ deal was up at the end of September. As previously noted, the contract was agreed to toward the end of the month. Sources indicated that Woods wanted to stay with WWE but wanted to do what was best for him and was in a position where he didn’t have to compromise. There is no word of any conversations with AEW having taken place.
Woods has been with WWE since 2010. He is a 13-time Tag Team Champion there alongside his New Day partners in Big E. and Kofi Kingston. Speaking of Kingston, who re-signed earlier this year, the report said little was heard about his contract talks.
