Dixie Carter Makes Appearance On AMC Premiere Of TNA Impact

TNA Impact got a visit from a past face for its AMC premiere, with Dixie Carter making an appearance on the show. Thursday night’s show on AMC featured TNA President Carlos Silva, who was introduced by Gia Miller. Silva brought out Carter, who got booed by a significant portion of the crowd.
Carter cut a promo asking the fans how many have been watching for all of TNA’s years. She thanked the fans for their longtime support of TNA before noting that it was an emotional night for her. Carter thanked everyone before Bully Ray came out.
Carter looked a little nervous, as Bully had famously put Carter through a table back in 2014. However, Bully and Carter put their past issues behind and hugged it out before Bully made his way to the commentary table for the main event.
Carter was the president of TNA from 2003 through 2017. She became a polarizing figure within the wrestling community for what was often perceived as missteps like bringing in Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, trying to go head to head with WWE Raw, trying to bring in Vince Russo and lying to Spike TV about it, and an infamous speech to the locker room back in 2009 that was poorly received by the roster and aired on TNA Impact.
