According to a report by SEScoops.com, Dr. Carlon Colker of Peak Wellness, Inc., is asking the Connecticut Superior Court to seal nearly 700 pages in documents WWE employee Janel Grant in her bill of discovery against him and his practice. As previously reported, Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE, alleging sexual trafficking and misconduct.
Colker and Peak Wellness are reportedly requesting that the court seal documents containing receipts and medical records for Grant. Attorneys for Grant are claiming that Colker and Peak Wellness refused to provide her records and receipts for treatments she received during her discovery for her lawsuit against the former WWE Chairman.
At one point, Colker filed a defamation lawsuit against Janel Grant and her attorney, Ann Callis, in federal court. Also, attorneys for Colker did add Grant’s medical records to the case docket without them being sealed or redacted. However, SEScoops notes that those filings were later taken down.
Grant later filed an amended complaint against McMahon earlier this year, which included screenshots of new text messages and more supporting her allegations against McMahon. The full complaint is available HERE.’
Last month, Grant filed a motion asking the court to force Dr. Colker to hand over discovery items related to her lawsuit against Vince McMahon. The motion alleged that Colkere only produced an “audit log” for Grant.
Attorneys for Colker later objected to the motion from Grant’s camp, stating, “Defendants have produced hundreds of pages of responsive documents, and despite that fact, plaintiff seeks more – more than a limited bill of discovery necessitates.”
Now, the new report appears that the documents are being produced, but Colker and Peak Wellness want them sealed by the court. The next legal hearing is reportedly scheduled for Monday, December 8.
