Drew McIntyre Reveals What He Wants for When He Comes Back to WWE

During a recent interview with The Joe Vulpis Podcast, WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre discussed what he’s looking for when he returns to WWE TV. According to McIntyre, he’s focused more on the storyline than winning a specific title or competing in a certain matchup.

The former WWE Champion explained what he’s looking for when he returns, “I mean, number one is the story. I mean, that’s what I care about first and foremost. But I do believe some big stories will come hand-in-hand with the heavyweight title once again.”

McIntyre continued, “I think once I get really into the story where I’m thinking I’m going to go once I decide to come back. I really think it’s going to have to lead to the world title because it’s going to be such compelling stuff, and it’s going to hold the story back if I’m not the one with the title saying you need me, and I need this because I know what’s best for you.”

WWE has not yet announced when Drew McIntyre will make his television return. McIntyre has been off WWE TV after losing to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42 earlier this year. He co-stars in the new WWE collaboration with ReelShort, Agent of Shadows, which debuted this week.
