El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. El Hijo del Vikingo for AAA Latin American Title Official for Noche de Los Grandes

AAA had made another match official for its upcoming show, Noche de Los Grandes.

The May 2, 2026, episode of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide included a backstage segment featuring El Hijo del Vikingo, Omos, and Dorian Roldan.

Roldan informed the former AAA Mega Champion that he would challenge El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. for the AAA Latin American Championship on May 30.

Wagner Jr. cost Vikingo his match against Mini Vikingo on tonight’s show. In the closing stages of what was an incredibly wild match, Vikingo tried to use a steel chair, only to get taken down by Wagner, courtesy of a Wagner Driver on the same object. Mini followed it up with a 630 to secure one of the biggest upset wins in AAA history.

Omos attacked Wagner Jr. after the match and was about to Powerbomb the Latin American Champion before Wagner’s brother Glaneno Del Mal stormed to the ring with a chair. He attacked Omos and the brothers chased him out of the ring.

Wagner, who has been the Latin American Champion since August 2025, will look to secure another successful defense, this time at the expense of El Hijo del Vikingo, on May 30.

AAA Noche de Los Grandes will take place at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on May 30.
