Fallah Bahh On Fat Shaming In Wrestling & His Unlikely Tag Team With KM
Impact Wrestling’s Fallah Bahh recently spoke with WrestleZone’s Lovell Porter, here are the highlights…
On starting out as a tag team competitor to becoming a singles star: Mario Bokara is hurt right now. He has a knee injury. That gave me an open spot to do singles. So here I am right now, wrestling by myself, you know what I mean? I feel blessed to be part of Impact Wrestling so any opportunity I have to shine I’ll take it. I’m just happy.
On where the “Bah Bah” and “No No No” taunts originated from: Okay, so, it’s obviously my last name. Before I was doing more of the Yoko-sumo gimmick I was more of a savage. For some reason, I would just yell “Bahh!” I found it more entertaining. My name was originally just Fallah. I kept doing it so much that my last name eventually became Bahh. I adopted it over the years.
On if he has dealt with fat shaming in the wrestling business as a whole: Okay, so it’s weird. Everyone says it’s an aesthetic sport. It’s all about how you look. There are a ton of nicer physics than me. I felt like an outsider in the wrestling business because I felt so different, but being accepted as the person I am and putting it out there and selling it as my brand made me ok with myself. The baggage I was carrying my whole life being this big it wasn’t so heavy anymore, you feel me? It helped me for the better in real life.
On when the when his issues with KM started: It started at that WrestlePro show. I have known him for years, but we never really interacted. KM is who he is, and I am who I am. We had nothing but respect, but I mean the minute we crossed paths KM told me what he felt. The next week he wouldn’t stop. I had to help my boy (Richard Justice) so I did what I had to do.
On KM’s change of heart and how Bahh ended up tagging with him: Honestly, you have to learn how to forgive and forget. You have to give people a chance. I am not sure of KM’s motives, but I am here for the ride. You want to have someone to have your back. KM is telling me he has my back, so I’ll ride the wave.
On his and KM’s big tag match on this week on Impact against the Cult of Lee: We’ve been talking it out and working out the kinks if you haven’t seen it on twitter. We have a game plan. We are working it out. We have a huge size difference. I respect Cult of Lee, but they are not our size at all.
