Newly crowned TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian recently paid his respects to the late WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero. He shared a photo on social media, showing his visit to Guerrero’s memorial in the former WWE Champion’s hometown of El Paso, Texas.

Frankie Kazarian wrote about Guerrero, “Eddie Guerrero is what every professional wrestler should aspire to be. Heart, athleticism, authenticity, drive, and passion.” He continued, “Honored to be representing @ThisIsTNA as World Champion in El Paso, paying my respects to one of the very best to ever do it.”

Eddie Guerrero tragically passed away on November 13, 2005 at 38 years old. As previously noted, the city of El Paso recently recognized November 18 as Eddie Guerrero Day.

Frankie Kazarian recently won his first major world championship, beating Mike Santana to capture the TNA World Title on last week’s edition of TNA Impact on AXS TV. Kazarian cashed in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet contract to get a match against Santana, which he later won.

The following night at TNA Turning Point, Santana and Steve Maclin defeated Frankie Kazarian and Nic Nemeth in a tag team bout. The former champion, Mike Santana, also intends to make a statement later tonight on Impact, which starts at 8:00 pm EST on AXS TV.
