UPDATED: More Details On Hardys’ Meeting With WWE

UPDATED: A new report has additional details on the Hardys’ meeting with WWE. Fightful Select reports that Matt and Jeff were invited by the company to film interviews and other content, both for active WWE series and potential Hardy-specific content. The two were already in town for WrestleCon when they were reached out to.

The Hardys are currently working with TNA but are not under a contract. They are said to still have dates they are committed to, and are enjoying their run there.

People in WWE noted that there isn’t much to read into regarding the meeting, though sources outside the company do believe they will end up making an appearance in WWE at some point.

ORIGINAL: The Hardys met with WWE officials on Friday, according to a new report. PWInsider reports that Matt and Jeff Hardy met with officials from the company “very early” on Friday morning in Cleveland.

There’s no word as of yet on what was discussed, though the site has heard that some content was filed to be released via WWE digital. The Hardys are currently working with TNA, who have been in a working relationship with WWE that has resulted in crossovers on NXT TV. That said, the brothers are also working without a contract with TNA, and are free agents as Matt Hardy has previously said on his podcast.

The two are set for the TNA tapings to take place this weekend and are doing a signing at WrestleCon today.
