The defamation lawsuit brought by Logan Paul against Coffeezilla is set for a hearing later this month. Express News reports that the lawsuit will have a hearing on June 29th after initially being set for June 15th.

Paul filed the defamation suit back in 2024 after Coffeezilla — the channel operated by journalist Stephen Findeisen — posted a three-part YouTube series that alleged Paul ran a cryptocurrency scam via his CryptoZoo projects. CryptoZoo was an NFT blockchain game that Paul helped promote which ultimately collapsed and cost investors millions of dollars. The Coffeezilla videos reported on Paul’s involvement and how he promoted the game.

Paul sued two of his key advisors in CryptoZoo, who he claimed he was deceived by. He alleges that the advisors, Eddie Ibanez and Jake Greenbaum, sold ZOO Tokens for personal profit and gained over $1 million through it.

The lawsuit alleges that Paul never sold a single token in the project and lost over $1 million as a result of his involvement in the project. He announced a buyback program and distributed over $1 million in Ethereum to people who lost money on the project.

Paul alleges that Findeisen, who is a defendant alongside his company Coffee Break Productions LLC, omitted the information about his being deceived by his advisors.
