A new report has a bit of context on how far back the date change for WWE Money in the Bank was set. As announced in June, WWE pushed back the PLE from September 6th to October 10th. The event is still taking place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

The word at the time was that the reason for the move was due to a scheduling conflict with broadcast partners. According to Fightful Select Answers Q&A in response to a fan question, New Orleans was made aware of the date change for Money In the Bank two months ago, and that someone from New Orleans had reached out to the outlet in April with a tip about it.

WWE is still hosting an event on September 10th, announcing that Sunday Night’s Main Event will take place on September 6th at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

That show will be the first time in at least the current run of the Peacock-airing specials that a Main Event will air on a Sunday instead of a Saturday.
