Jake Roberts Undergoes Successful Hip Surgery

Jake Roberts is at home and recovering after undergoing successful hip surgery on Tuesday. Cheryl Roberts posted to her Facebook account on Tuesday evening to announce that the WWE hall of Famer was at home following the surgery, which was a “huge success.”
Cheryl wrote:
Surgery was a huge success!
Jake is now home and recovering. Thank you for all prayers and well wishes.
PWInsider reports that Jake Roberts underwent the hip revision surgery to fix a previous hip replacement that had become “problematic.” The WWE Hall of Famer has had a number of health issues in the years since his retirement in 2018.
Roberts is under a WWE Legends contract but has appeared for AEW sporadically in recent years. He noted back in March of last year that WWE “gave me their blessing” to make the AEW appearances despite his Legends deal, noting, “Let’s face it, they still want to make money off of me.”
